Radon Inspection Services

Radon Measurement Technician

Radon is a product of decaying uranium and is a naturally occurring element in the soil. This service will help give you knowledge to protect yourself and loved ones against lung complications. Radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. Think of radon gas as low lying and residing typically at lower areas of the home, such as basements or sunken floors. The average pCi/L in the Portland/Vancouver area is 4 pCi/L. Think of this in three levels:

0-2 pCi/L - No mitigation required

2-4 pCi/L - You may consider mitigation

4+ pCi/L - Is when we would highly recommend that a mitigation system be installed and when the EPA deems it as unsafe.

Note: Further information can be found on the World Health Organization website.

Cost for a radon test without a home inspection is 160.00 dollars.

Testimonials

Integrity First and Excellence in Service

My clients are at the heart of everything I do here at Chase's Home Inspection Services. I work with a variety of different clientele, from all walks of life. I am committed to not only expanding my client base, but also to building and maintaining everlasting relationships with clients I’ve worked with in the past.

After calling several other inspection companies, I broke down and called the company that was a Google ad, which I don't normally do. Unlike the other companies I called, these guys had time available the very next day. Awesome. This is a pre-buy inspection on a new build.  Chase showed up a couple minutes early and was very personable.  He outlined what he was going to do and what could be expected from him at the very outset, which I appreciated.  He spent about an hour scouring over the house, and I feel it's only highlighted how inadequate my last home inspection was.  My last buy was in the heart of Texas, in a military town, and the way I remember it was completely different than the way it went down today. The guy back then kinda looked around, checked the outlets, the roof, and that was about it. Chase was much more thorough, finding a laundry list of small things that, when fixed, will extend the life of the house by years. This is only my second house buy but I feel like I'm smarter on this stuff after talking to him, and happy to spend what I originally thought was a pretty premium price for their services.

Chase Edmunds... I cannot say enough things about how great it has been working with you on the home buying process. This gentlemen did such a fantastic job!!!

We were unable to make a deal on the first house we looked at so we have had to get a second inspection with our new house. Chase explained every detail of the inspection throughout the process. his attention to detail is on another level. Great people make great companies and it is clear to see why you folks are at the top. The prices were fair and the service was top notch. We also received a repeat customer discount for our second house as well as a discount for paying cash.

If you are a first time home buyer like us you will rest easy knowing that people like Chase will take care of you. even after the inspection I had some questions and he was quick to respond. Thanks for the great job and alleviating some of the stress from the home buying process.

Chase was the ultimate professional. He was on time and responsive. He went through the detailed report with pictures. He took the time to explain what he found and how to maintain the proper function of things like the fire place, crawl space, and air filters, etc. He sent the detailed report within 2 hours of completion. You can also use Venmo which is easy and convenient. I would highly recommend Chase to anyone looking for a home inspection.

Chase offers a premium inspection service. He was meticulous in his attention to detail and extremely thorough when he performed a pre-buy home inspection for us. Normally this would be enough to leave us more than happy with his service, but he went above and beyond dealing with some difficult and frankly disgusting situations. He carried on with a professional attitude and pleasant demeanor throughout the entire process. From ridiculously tiny attic access, rodent infestations, filthy crawlspace, and dog feces ridden exterior. He also worked closely with the other party to make sure everyone was treated fairly and with respect. Chase even went out of his way on a second trip to the home while collecting his Radon testing equipment. He took the time to inspect certain areas that we not accessible due to obstructions in the form of the seller's belongings during the initial inspection. Outstanding service, and top notch guy. This is one area of the home buying process you can approach with confidence knowing you will get a professional and detailed inspection to help you make the most informed decision possible.
